Well, I found my way here...
Yeah, after playing SRB2 for about two years and taking part on the messageboards for the past year, I decided it was time for me to get even more involved in the community. So, here I am!
My story, as if you care.
Well, you must care somewhat, if you've read this far.
A Nubbish Beginning
Well, I started playing SRB2 back in the 1.09.2 days, which seems so long ago now... But either way back then I had some unfortunate n00bish tendencies. Though I do admit I was a hell of a lot better than your average newb, I knew how to type in complete sentences in proper English, but that wasn't enough to save my first topic on the SRB2 Messageboards.

Lets just say my first "wad" was not very well received. Even worse was the reason why I edited it.
I used to be one of those people who would host SA City with all kinds of character wads and other such bullcrap, or host Sonic Racetrack 2 with SMS. *shudder* Yeah, I was a fan of SMS back in the day. *more violent shudder* Luckily I've outgrown that now...
Days of Improvement
Well, after awhile, I started getting bored of the whole "OGM SA CITY!111!!1one!" thing, so I started getting into match. I started hosting match constantly, and started getting quite pissed when people were able to aim at me outside the horizontal plane. I used to think that they were hacking (I told you I was a newb!) It wasn't until 1.09.4 first came out that I figured out how to use mouse control. Once I figured that out, I improved drastically.
This was also the beginning of my map editing days. I downloaded SRB2DoomBuilder, but couldn't even figure out how to make a thok barrier at first. It would be months later before I tried again and figured it out.
Despite these problems, I was getting better at Match and CTF by the day, causing more and more people to complain about my presence in netgames. And then I got bored of SRB2 and stopped playing for months...
Jazz Attack
Around ten months ago (as of 1/28/07,) I started playing SRB2 consistently again, coming back from playing Dota on Warcraft 3. This time, I went through ST218's Doom Builder Tutorial and understood it that time. I created my first wad, which was a total load of garbage, and got deleted. Then I released my first wad, Railsniper Range in this topic:

Soon after this, I figured out how to get around my router (again) and host netgames. Now I started to combine my learning about level editing, with practice against other people while playing the game. I started to make other maps, and would host them on my server and test them in gameplay against anyone who would join. Then another development came up.
I joined FuriousFox's Dedicated Server and noticed the wadfile that brought up his server commands, and notified me about the fact that his server recorded stats. Soon afterwards, I adapted this idea and took it a step further, adding to it my server rules and other information. Then one day I opened up Visual Basic 6 and started programming myself a simple stats engine. With some help from my mother, who is a computer programmer, I optimized my code and could have my crappy Pentium II crunch a log file in less than a second. This crappy computer soon became my Dedicated Server computer.
I could now host a netgame, pop in and out whenever I wanted. Not only that, my server had a simple stats and registration system, where people can record the points they scored on my server. I could also now work on my maps without interrupting or lagging the game, which was quite nice. Soon, I released my first level pack, which I named Jazz Attack. Too Much Team Fortress 2
Playing an enormous amount of Team Fortress 2 and loving it.
Though I am not playing SRB2 very much, I can be contacted through Steam as "[AoC]Jazz Jackrabbit" and I can also be contacted via PM on the message board and in #srb2fun. If you bug me, I might play a netgame with you. =P
