Thing type 1701, Axis Transfer, is a type of Thing that transfers players from one Axis to another in NiGHTS levels. It should be placed on a point in the map where the track of two Axes overlaps. The flags value should be the same as the Axis it transfers to, provided that it is not the first Axis of any mare. To transfer back to the first Axis in the mare at the end of the track, set the flags value of the Axis Transfer to be 1 greater than the last Axis. If the map has multiple mares, the Ideya Drone will act as the point that transfers Super Sonic to the next mare.

The mare the Axis is on is specified by the Thing's Parameter value: If n is the mare number, the Parameter value should be n - 1. For example, the Parameter value for the first mare is 0, while the Parameter value for the third mare is 2. Since a Thing's Parameter value is multiplied by 4096 and added to the Thing type number, the resulting Thing type number is 1701 + (n - 1)×4096.
