Hey, question

Does "neutral point of view" exist in the Wiki? --Digiku 18:15, 22 October 2007 (PDT)

BW said it should be fixed up. As the self-proclaimed Software freak, I may be one person to do it. If I have the time, I might (but that's the thing.) --Digiku 20:34, 22 October 2007 (PDT)

...It should. I don't like how this article is an OpenGL vs. Software debate, I'll certainly try to fix that. It was something I intentionally went out of my way to avoid in OpenGL Rendering. (Which I hope isn't biased in itself. I don't think it is, but I could be wrong...) ~DarkWarrior

Should we be detailing the advantages/disadvantages of each renderer in their respective topics, or in a new one? I've just been noticing some redundancy between the limitations detailed on the OpenGL page, and the advantages detailed on the Software page. --Jazz 09:36, 23 October 2007 (PDT)

It may be a good idea to have a generic page on "Rendering", explaining both renderers and comparing the two as objectively as possible. It's really impossible to talk about the renderers without comparing them to each other, anyhow. -Mystic 10:24, 23 October 2007 (PDT)

Combine Software/OpenGL Pages

I just rooted through and did some edits on this article and read the above comments. I honestly think these pages should be combined to eliminate the redundancy between the two articles. As Mystic said, you cannot talk about either render without comparing them to each other.

If general sentiment agrees with me, I will go ahead and create the combined article. --Jazz 13:21, 28 April 2008 (PDT)
