Jazz Attack is a pack of multiple Match and CTF levels created by Jazz. It is full of Easter Eggs, and, besides that, is has levels that are considered to be very good by most of the SRB2 community. It is currently in Version 1b.

Levels

Match

Crystal Caves

Crystal Caves is an ice-themed stage adorned with colorful stalactites and stalagmites.

Vertical Forest

Vertical Forest is a forest-themed stage with much vertical variation. This zone's trees feel useless and out of place compared to the springs, which are much easier to use. For this reason, this map is being completely replaced in the next version.

Dark Town

Dark Town is set at a static four-way intersection with parking lots nearby. An Inferno Shield Monitor rests on a pillar in the middle of the intersection.

Railsniper Range

Railsniper Range takes place on an open, grassy, multi-leveled area with many Rail Rings. Random Monitors can be found at the higher parts of the level.

Deathmatch Arena

Deathmatch Arena is a unique stage that features externally added music as well as terrain that changes roughly every 57 seconds by use of timed linedef executors. It also is unique in that when the player respawns, he gets a choice between an Automatic Ring, a Rail Ring, and a Bomb Ring. They will also get 5 rings and a Whirlwind Shield.

Originally, there were no rings in the map itself, you had to attack people to get more. However, may people did not like this idea, and it was removed.

Sonic at the Disco

Sonic at the Disco is a disco-themed stage full of lights. It features three buttons to allow the change of the background music to any one of three Sonic music remixes.

Island Hop

Island Hop is a place in the ocean filled with many islands and flooded boats. An Infinity Ring can be found high in the air of the main island.

Lava Lake

Lava Lake is a set of three islands engulfed in lake of magma. Each island contains a different type of weapon ring. This map has been nerfed many times due to the ease in previous versions of attaining an Auto-Rail-Bomb combination.

Goo Lagoon

Goo Lagoon is a factory set on an island situated in the middle of a waste of toxic goo. Four sets of pistons pump toxic sludge out of the facility. Only half the map existed in previous versions and was doubled and had its middle reorganized in the interest of making the entire top of the level more suitable for combat, instead of a straight (and rather cramped) line connecting the Rail Ring spawns.

Space Platform

Space Platform is a rather small level shaped like a clover, surrounded by death pits. Each of the towers on the corners of the map contain a Rail Ring. Fighting is concentrated around the center, where a Random Monitor lies.

CTF

Sky Shrine

Sky Shrine is an expansive structure suspeneded over a mystical red sky. Bases are seperated from the center shrine by an expansive deathpit. Springs about to assist in propelling players from each teams base to the middle and back again.

Crazy Castles

Crazy Castles got its name from the first Gameboy game Jazz ever played (Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle.) This map consists of two castles seperated by an expansive brick wall. Each castle contains buttons that can be used to raise and lower bridges that connect to the other side, as well as buttons that open and close each castle's front gate. Teamwork and the control of these castle's features are essential to victory.

Railsniper Rampage

Railsniper Rampage is the CTF version of the match map, Railsniper Range. This map is similar in style, including the massive amounts of Rail Rings. The main difference is the fact that the map is symmetrical, while the match version is not.

Frozen River

Frozen River is a map seperated by a wide river of rushing cold water and ice floes. A crumbling bridge spans the river, sending more than one person to their death in the icy water after a part of the bridge collapsed.

Fire Eye

Fire Eye is an area of high volcanic activity. The crater in the center of the map is constantly flooding with lava, as well as the maze of caverns underneath. Both ends of the map also contain complex cave networks, which fortunately are not constantly encroached by lava. Rumor has it that Armageddon and Attraction shields are hidden in the excptionally dangerous lava-flooded cave network.

Woods of War

Woods of War is a CTF version of the Vertical Forest theme. Due to the failure of the gimmick on the match version, this map is also being completely remade for next version.

Asteroid Belt

Asteroid Belt is a radical idea indeed. Asteroids suspended throughout the map influence players with their gravitational pull. Being above an asteroid causes one to be pulled downward toward it. Being below an asteroid causes one to be pulled upward toward it. Using these features, players can use their gravity to "slingshot" themselves around the map.

Silica Temple

Silica Temple is an expansive sand temple surrounded by a ring of smaller interconnecting tunnels. In this map, the balance between open spaces and close quarters is important to take into account.

Sunken Sanctuary

Sunken Sanctuary is a fully-underwater map with the assistance of a timer SOC that raises breathing time to a full minute. This level is being considered for optimiziation and other changes due to the exceptional amount of framerate lag experienced by players with older computers.

Easter Eggs

This article or section contains a spoiler, an unlockable, or a secret. Please leave the page if you do not wish to view spoilers.

As of v1b, Easter Eggs have made an appearance in the levels with powerful weapons and short tribute scripts. The placement of the secrets will be regularly shuffled over subsequent releases. They are one-shot eggs and usually give a fleeting advantage to the one that used it.

In crystal caves, one of the passages lead to a small shrine-like area with a picture of an SatAM scene with Sonic and Sally. This is not considered an easter egg in the current version, because it does not give the player an advantage or play a script, and also isn't exactly hidden.

The first easter egg can be found in Railsniper Range as of v1b, and is a picture of Jazz Jackrabbit. Its powerful weapon is a homing ring which gives the player an advantage for fifteen seconds. The secret is located in the large tower which is accessed by standing over an intangible area on the south side of the tower (opposite the central area). Once inside you go through intangible castle wall to pass an invisible wall barrier around the homing ring and two Silver Monitors. The following script is played when you grab the weapon and are teleported back to the play area:

Player 0 is in the game (Node XD)
Player 1 is in the game (Node lulz)
Player 0 renamed to Jazz
Player 1 renamed to sb
<jazz> lol, still can't aim.
<sb> haha, sucka!
<jazz> =/
sb was hit by jazz's rail ring.
<sb> omfg.
<jazz> pooned. =)
<sb> so lucky.
Jazz has been kicked (bricked)
sb has been kicked (mauled)

The second secret is in the new version of Fire Eye. It displays a picture of Sb as the element from the periodic table as a tribute to beta tester and regular player SB. It showcases the rail ring which can be combined with the auto-bomb combination hidden in the caves for devastating results. It also contains three Super Ring Monitors. The room is at the bottom of the huge crater in the center of the map behind a spin bust wall. After grabbing the rail ring, the following dialogue will play and you will be teleported out of the area:

Player 0 is in the game (Node lol)
Player 1 is in the game (Node =D)
Player 0 renamed to sb
Player 1 renamed to Jazz
<sb> Beta testing creditz plz.
<Jazz> Sure.
<sb> When is the next beta test?
<Jazz> No idea.
<sb> When are you having another beta?
<Jazz> I don't know yet.
<sb> I want a beta test!
<Jazz> -_-
<Jazz> Next beta is...
Jazz has been kicked (railed)
sb has been kicked (shot)

The third is found in Silica Temple, and is a picture of Mighty, which is the character displayed on the avatar of a frequent player who regularly donates textures and flats for the mod. The secret is the only area in Jazz Attack that was not fully designed by Jazz himself. It is accessed by hidden teleporters behind fake walls in the alcoves containing auto rings. The room is a tomb-like area reminiscent of Balin's Tomb in Fellowship of the Ring. Its weapon is an Attraction Shield at the other end of the tomb. Once the player steps into the field in front of he is teleported to the center and the following script appears:

Player 0 is in the game (Node oy)
Player 0 renamed to JEV3
<JEV3> =/
Player 1 is in the game (Node wut)
Player 1 renamed to Jazz
<JEV3> The problem is, alot of these textures are just too dull...
<Jazz> well maybe I could use some different ones...
<JEV3> Good idea...
<JEV3> I'll send you some ideas later.
<Jazz> =)
<JEV3> Always nice to see something new once in a while... =P
Jazz has been kicked (pwned)
JEV3 has been kicked (doh)
Spoilers end here.
