Thing type 293, Metal Sonic Gather Point, is a type of Thing that Metal Sonic uses to gather energy from when preparing to use an attack. Usually multiple gather points are placed in the same map, for Metal Sonic to appear to gather energy from all over the arena. If no gather points are placed in a map with Metal Sonic, he will not be able to use his energy ball attack. His other attacks will still work.
