Blue Warrior's User Talk. The AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!

...chives.

Testing the Stub category

Yes, I did add that. We probably won't need it much, but it's good to have handy, IMO. Besides, I'm not quite sure why it wasn't added in the first place anyways. --Blue Warrior 18:44, 27 January 2007 (PST)

Regarding your changes to Sapphire Falls Zone

The Writing and Editing Guidlines states the following:

The Talk Page: The Talk Page of each article is useful for discussion on the article itself. If you must note that you're not done with the content of the article, for example, then do not reference that point in the article itself, but make a note of it in the article's Talk Page.

Do_not_sign_your_name_in_the_article: Do not sign your name in the article. Not only does it unnecessarily overshadow the content itself, but it also is redundant. If one wanted to find out who wrote a part of an article, they could just look in the article's "History" page.

Also, the paragraphs you wrote seem to be in a conversational style, which is generally not a good method for an encyclopedia. See this section for information on how you can improve it.

It was only temporary anyway; I was planning on changing it today. --Blue Warrior 11:10, 25 March 2007 (PDT)

The Style Guide for Editors

I just published The Style Guide for Editors, a resource on language style and page formatting that I feel should be guidelines to be followed on the Wiki. I thought it be about time that we got some actual guidelines around here.

I want a moderator-wide consensus on this, hence this alert on this user talk page. Go through the guide, review the guidelines if you'd like, and present an opinion on the guide, like if it's okay, or what guidelines need some revising. More information can be found in the Main Page's Talk page under the related topic.

"Specials"

Hey, BW?

Those Sector pages you edited and then reverted. Those were the specials I was referring to. Sector and Linedef specials, specifically. Those two types are highly incomplete.

So, really, you were right. Bluh. o_O

...Shit.

It really comes to show, I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do. @_@ --Blue Warrior 23:12, 7 April 2007 (PDT)

It's okay.

Actually, there's an easier way to add content like that in mass amounts. Use Special:Export, export all the relevant pages, and then do a search-and-replace on the resulting file. Search for <text xml:space="preserve"> and replace all instances of that with <text xml:space="preserve">{{unfinished}}. Fix the timestamps on the pages and then use Special:Import.

I can do that myself if you'd like. --Digiku 12:54, 8 April 2007 (PDT)

READY SET GO

Locking Talk Pages

I found out from Wikia that:

Talk pages and user talk pages are not protected except in extreme circumstances.

As what happened IS an extreme circumstance, it is possable to lock it - but I think that only mods and admins can.

Ah2190 00:53, 6 July 2007 (PDT)

Technically, it's sysops here. Which I am, fortunately.

But I'm hoping on finding an alternative method, because I don't like the idea of a locked talk page for a locked article, as then there'd really be no good place to ask for an edit on the article. I may look into User's Only talk mod later, depending on if I'm not lazy. ~ Blue Warrior 01:38, 6 July 2007 (PDT)

I agree - User's Only talk mod would stop the bots, while letting users post. Ah2190 04:15, 6 July 2007 (PDT)
