MAP56, Special Stage 7, is the final Special Stage in Sonic Robo Blast 2 v1.09.4, taking place above the skies with platforms surrounding a tall tower. The player needs to collect 100 out of 145 rings in 120 seconds to get the Gray Chaos Emerald. This is the only Special Stage in SRB2 in which you can fall into a bottomless pit and immediately lose the emerald.
Walkthrough
Single Player
Since this is mainly a vertical stage, Sonic will definitely be having a harder time than Tails or Knuckles in both getting the rings and not falling into the pit. As Sonic, it is recommended to be cautious when jumping across platforms, all the while keeping an eye on the time limit. As Tails or Knuckles, the stage is much easier because of climbing or flying. Knuckles will probably handle easier, due to having more precise direction on where you want to go.
The basic plan is to get the rings that you can, all the while working your way toward the center of the stage. Maneuver all the way around the sides of the stages, then hop onto the ascending platform to the next story, and then get all the rings on the upper bridge. From that point, jump onto the red collapsing platforms for the rings above them, and gather the rings that you can around the center tower. Finally, use the elevating platform to ascend to the tower and jump into it for the rings you need to complete the stage.
Cooperation
This stage is rather infamous in multiplayer due to the fact that one player falling into the pit will immediately make everyone lose. That's why teamwork is a must in this stage. It is suggested that you force everyone to be Tails or Knuckles (for large netgames), or only allow a certain person to venture for the rings. Or you can take the cheating way out and type STARTRINGS 999 into the console.
