This graphic can't be copyrighted you guys; it's found in Sonic 2, 3, etc. –SonicMaster 14:32, 30 October 2007 (PDT)

EDIT: Same with the shield monitors, too.SonicMaster

Simple answer: Batch edit. I made a whole ton of mass edits back in the day and just assumed that every graphic was, quote, "copyright Sonic Team Junior". You have a really good eye, though. We don't seem to care about copyright here all that much, yet I do. Give me some time to come up with a "long answer". --Digiku talk 19:55, 30 October 2007 (PDT)

You said you were going to come up with a long answer...are you still writing it? –SonicMaster 00:18, 6 November 2007 (PST)

How to counter this...

I guess the files with this innocent mistake need to be deleted (to remove the incorrect notice from its history, which is even listed on its main page) and then instantly put back again. –SonicMaster 20:33, 30 October 2007 (PDT)

Wikipedia deals with this all the time, and I don't think they hide the history of mis-copyrighted images when editing in new ones. It's hard to tell, though, and I can't find a real example right now. What I know is that, with an extension I found, it'll be easy to hide revisions later on.

In any event, here's my planning: Just blank the page. I've decided that SRB2 Wiki:Copyrights will serve as the "umbrella statement" for all elements displayed on the Wiki, including images that don't come with a copyright statement. Therefore, if all the mis-copyrighted images lose their statement, said page should pick up the slack. Edit summary should be "Removing mistaken copyright statement". Not sure if anyone will sue us, but that should hold okay. --Digiku talk 08:41, 7 November 2007 (PST)
