I'd really like to encourage us to expand this page to provide information about even more aspects of level design. We could add an "Advanced Techniques" tab here and place tutorials on how to make things like ropes, complicated objects like swings, and polyobjects. We could turn this page into a one-stop location to find information on how to build most anything supported by SRB2. -Mystic 22:46, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Definitely this. We could probably just put them in See Also, because a lot of advanced features already have tutorial pages. (EDIT: Erm, wait, this page doesn't have a See Also yet. Maybe make one and put them in?) -~~ RedEchidna 03:35, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
What I'm suggesting is using this page as a central place to link all of those advanced feature tutorials. -Mystic 04:30, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
Essentially, we could just replace the FAQ section (which was stupid anyway) with a list of advanced tutorials, each with a short description. I've made a list of tutorials belonging there, but I'm not quite sure about it:
- Button Creation Tutorial
- Conveyor Belt Creation
- Egg Capsule Creation
- Linedef Executor Tutorial
- Moving Platforms Tutorial
- PolyObject Creation Tutorial
- Reverse Gravity Tutorial
- Rock Spawn Tutorial
- Rope Pulley Creation Tutorial
- Sector-Based Spike Rows
- Stacking Multiple FOFs
- Timed Linedef Executor - Gargoyle Box
- Timed Linedef Executor - Upper Unpegged (Or, instead of these two, a link to the disambiguation page for Timed Linedef Executor)
- Water Design
- Zoom Tube Tutorial
Also, for NiGHTS:
- Hoop Placement Tutorial
- NiGHTS Tutorial
Please correct me if something is missing or doesn't belong there, and please, share your ideas on this. --SpiritCrusher 19:41, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
I cleaned up the page a little bit, but a lot of these tutorials are really quite lacking. If possible I'd like to see them all looking like this, but a basic explanation, step-by-step, is just fine provided it's written well. A lot of these tutorials are really quite awful. -Mystic 00:19, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
