History and Achievements
Over the two years I've been part of the SRB2 community, I have gained a rather large track list (to steal Spazzo's line) ranging from failing at map making to becoming an SRB2.org Server Administrator. Here's a brief summary of my time here, in no specific order:
- Started up and still working on the YouSRB2 Project to improve the overall user experience of the SRB2 website, and to make SRB2 modification projects a much easier thing to manage.
- Created and still working on Zero Effort, the modification review series with a worse update schedule than Death By Pixel.
- Pretty much gave the SRB2MB Judges Panel scheme the first spark that got it running, after having words with Mystic about the rubbish in the SRB2MB's Releases Sections, the discussion went on from that and the scheme was born.
- Became a member of the SRB2 Development Team, most likely due to SRB2Live and YouSRB2.
- Started up the SRB2Live project, with hope of making a revolution in how users play SRB2 online.
- Became a Master Server Administrator after recoding the system to use MySQL for storage, allowing for easier management.
- Became an SRB2.org Server Administrator.
- Became an SRB2MB Administrator after the big move from Sepwich to the server.
Projects
SRB2Live
A project co-managed by Oogaland, to advance the online abilities of SRB2 immensely, including a leaderboard for each zone, user stats and other innovative features. The aim of the project is to give people a reason to play SRB2 for more than just a bit of boredom killing, making it more competitive will do just that. More information will be available on the project, as well as a release date, when enough work is done to predict a V1 date.
Zero Effort
Along with Nev3r and an ever changing array of script writers and voice actors, Cue creates video reviews of terrible (not necessarily effortless) modifications of SRB2. These video reviews are done in the same style as Zero Punctuation created by Benjamin "Yahtzee" Richard Croshaw.
So far there have been two episodes, sra2.wad and more recently, Hetor Was Here, the former receiving a rather critical reception from the Youtube community, most of which involved a lot of flaming and abusive language, which Cue happily ignored.
Zero Effort also recently got its own website, which is still in the production stages but can be seen here.
