Here's a hint. >_>

http://arrow.rangerwiki.com/srb2/
The second link is for 1.09.4's music, but it can be useful for things.
Also, http://info.sonicretro.org/Virtual_Sonic has the "Extended Sonic and Knuckles Theme" which is where a lot of SRB2's songs originate.
Also, should we include use in older stages on this page? Like how Jade Valley's current music used to be used for Sapphire Falls, etc. ~Kaysakado  •  Talk  •  15:52, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Doomship? Scrapped?

Didn't SSNTails himself say that Doomship MIGHT be actually made and be called Grand Eggship? --SpiritCrusher 18:34, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

From what I've heard, the planned differences in theme between DMZ's original outline and GEZ are significant enough that it's moreso replacing DMZ than anything else.

Regardless of the case, it's not going to use this tune anyway, so discussing it is all for naught. MattW_CFItalk*contribs 21:53, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Ahh, I see. Glad to hear it, because the Doomship tune somewhat funny, which really doesn't fit the theme. --SpiritCrusher 14:29, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

I heard that is was going to be renammed to Grand Eggship so it would be called GEZ instead of DSZ which gets people confused between it and deep sea zone.

Why can't we just call Doomship Zone DZ to avoid hassle? LightspeedX 19:27, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

Simply because GEZ has three letters, just like any other zone abbreviation in the game. How should someone who sees the name Doomship Zone know that it is abbreviated as DZ rather than DSZ? Despite that, GEZ sounds cooler... --SpiritCrusher 09:10, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

New section

Should we make a section for the unused/Old music slots instead of mixing them in with the others? --This was done by Eggmanfan you have been warned 21:04, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
If that were done, I'd think the version where it came from should be listed as well. Also is the part the you've been warned really part of your signature?--Glaber 13:14, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Yes It really is part of my signature. --This was done by Eggmanfan you have been warned 17:42, 24 October 2009 (UTC)--This was done by Eggmanfan you have been warned 17:46, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

Soundtrack

I don't know if this goes here but I got the soundtrack and noticed that it was missing some songs I wanted, I wanted to know if anyone has them: Match test zone, Srb1 Remakes, and the two special/hidden Tunes. thanks.--This was done by Eggmanfan you have been warned 15:07, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

SRB1 Lump names

Most of all the srb1 songs are midis currently so they should be D_ instead of O_. Also, I am unsure if KBZ uses tunes 40 or A9, but I know that is the only level with an ogg soundtrack. - Torgo 22:48, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Then why don't you change it? :P --SpiritCrusherTalkContribs 09:10, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

KBZ uses tunes A9, which is indeed the only SRB1 soundtrack with an ogg version. Tunes 40, on the other hand, is MIDI-only, IIRC. --Monster Iestyn Talk 12:15, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Origins

I think we should have a section that details the origins of some of the songs. The current credits theme comes from "Sonic & Knuckles Theme", of the Virtual Sonic album, and the start of Tails' House is from Sonic Triple Trouble's Sunset Park Zone (just learned that today!) Soundtrack Stuff

Now that the official soundtrack for V2.2 is out, and as SRB2 no longer uses slot numbers for tracks, I say that we repurpose the slot number stuff with the Track number on the OST, if it has one. Latius (talk) 09:01, 14 December 2019 (UTC)

Samples

A thing that could help mappers to choose a track: a 30" or 1 minute sample for each music slot in the table. Ezer'Arch|עֶזֶר'AρχTalk 12:23, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Wouldn't that be a bit of a waste of storage? You can open up music.dta with SLADE and listen to all tracks available in the game from start to end. ampersandtalke 16:31, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
Agreed here. The game's sound test exists already, and while it isn't fully comprehensive, it's very helpful for quickly pulling up music no less. Cookiefonster (talk) 18:17, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
