This article is about the first level in Botanic Serenity. For the level pack itself, see 2.0:Botanic Serenity.

MAP01, Botanic Serenity Zone, abbreviated as BSZ, is the main level of Botanic Serenity. It is a single-mare NiGHTS map with seven Chaos Emeralds scattered across the terrain, all of which are required to access the next level. The Ideya Capture requires 80 rings to be destroyed, and the player has 240 seconds time on the NiGHTS track.

The seven Chaos Emeralds are scattered across the level in hidden locations. Gargoyles are placed next to each one, giving the player a hint where the emeralds are located.

Green Chaos Emerald

This emerald can be collected on the main NiGHTS track, but is recommended to be collected in 3D mode. It is located in the multi-level pit in the center of the main area. Jump down to the lowest level of the pit. The green Chaos Emerald floats in the air above you.

Purple Chaos Emerald

Next to the large lake in the middle of the upper area, there is a rock formation with a waterfall that leads right into the lake. On top of it is a small pool of water and a red spring with a gargoyle next to it. From there, face the large waterfall curtain on the opposite side of the room. You should see a large rock hanging from the ceiling, to the right of two stalactites. Face it and spindash into the spring. You should see two NiGHTS Bumpers appearing in front of you. Hit them consecutively to land on a branch of the rock. The purple Chaos Emerald is on this branch.

Blue Chaos Emerald

Next to the large pit in the middle of the main area, there is a well with a fountain in it. To the right, there are a few rocks with branches coming out of two of them. Behind them is a tree surrounded by gargoyles and a hedge with a gargoyle on top. That hedge has a small hole that you can spindash through, containing the blue Chaos Emerald.

Light Blue Chaos Emerald

The factory that you start in has two entrances. Attached to the one that faces the tall cliff are two rocks and a small waterfall. There is a tiny cave at the top of that waterfall, containing the light blue Chaos Emerald.

Yellow Chaos Emerald

In the park with the fountains in the main area, face the tall cliff. You should see a group of hedges arranged in a semicircle, and three benches with gargoyles on two of them. Behind the two middlemost hedges is a gray switch. After stepping on it, turn to the left and enter the gallery to your right. Start jumping up the spiraling staircase, but instead of continuing upwards, jump down between the two cliffs. Inside this narrow valley, you should come across a white pipe lying on the floor and a rock with a gargoyle on it. From that rock, you should be able to see an opening with another gargoyle in the opposite cliff. Jump into that opening and continue along a tunnel flooded with yellow light. Now, follow the tunnel until you come to a split path – two right turns. Take the first right turn. Follow the path and you should obtain the yellow Chaos Emerald.

Red Chaos Emerald

Go to the park in the main area, where a well with four fountains around it is located. To the opposite side of the cliff, there are several gray staircases leading up a small rock formation. On the top of it is a tree with several gargoyles below it. Two of them are standing on top of each other. Step onto them and jump straight up and you should obtain the red Chaos Emerald.

Gray Chaos Emerald

In the upper area of the level, there is a large circular lake in the middle. Inside that lake are three tunnel openings. Enter the highest of the three and take a look at the right wall while continuing. You should see two gargoyles standing next to it. Between the gargoyles and the staircase is a small hole in the wall that you can spindash through to obtain the gray Chaos Emerald.

In the fountain near the jukebox is a raised stone. Run over it. Now jump out. Notice anything different?
