MAP57, Special Stage 8 is a hidden map in SRB2 v2.0 that can only be reached by typing map map57 into the console. It is almost identical to Special Stage 7 but has different textures and is missing some platforms in the outer ring. It was to be the last Special Stage until Mystic decided to make it easier. In its current state, the map is unplayable in Single Player because leaving the first platform will cause the level to end. It is, however, the only Special Stage that can be used in other gametypes, as the timer interferes in the other Special Stages.
