Chaos Space Zone was a Match stage from v1.08. It was an attempt to include all five weapon rings in the same stage, but it turned out to be highly imbalanced and crashed the game frequently. The level's layout, however, was considered to be quite good, and so the stage was reworked into Hydro Plant Zone, which was in the rotation for v1.09 and v1.09.4.
