Community Section

Welcome to the SRB2 Wiki Community Section! The SRB2 Wiki Community Section is a free repository of textual information covering members of the SRB2 Community, as well as any projects they may wish to document in this section.

Anyone may create a page on either themselves or their projects — regardless of perceived notability — in the Community section. With the pages they create, they can document anything pertaining to them as they wish; for example, they can write a biography of themselves or they can write guides or walkthroughs of their mods here in the Community section.

Rules

  1. A person is only allowed to create pages pertaining to them. This includes pages on themselves (i.e. autobiographies,) overviews on their own mods, walkthroughs on their own mods, etc. Under no circumstances is anybody allowed to create pages that cover subjects that are not related to them, even with the original party's permission.
    • If a person is found to create a page on subjects that are not related to them, such as a page on another person or another person's mods, such an action is credible for a block. The length of their block depends on the severity of the offending content (i.e. whether it's an innocent act of writing on a subject, or whether it's considered to be vandalism or libel.)
  2. A person may edit other peoples' articles, but only within good reason. If an edit is found to be within bad faith (vandalism, for example,) the offender will be blocked from editing the Wiki without question. The length of their block depends on the severity of the ill-spirited edit.
    • The original author may choose not to have anybody edit their pages. This can be done by setting a tag on their page. In this instance, any edits made by anyone other than the original author will be reverted, and the offending person warned. Two warnings, in this case, constitutes a block. Bad-faith edits, however, apply to the more strict aforementioned rule.
  3. To create autobiographical pages and pages on personal projects such as mods, an author must have a working account on the SRB2 Message Board. This can be confirmed simply by adding a link to their user profile on the MB at the end of their autobiographical page, under an "External Links" section.
  4. Keep in mind the Wiki's adopted Style Guide for Editors. Being that this is considered more of a "free-for-all" space than the rest of the Wiki, the rules on language, and to an extent, content, are a little looser than with the regular space, since these are really your own pages. However, despite this, we still expect a degree of proper English and comprehensibleness of articles. A page whose language construction is indiscernable or content questionable will be ultimately scrutinized. In short, keep your articles easy to understand; the accepted level of proper English on the SRB2 Message Board is primely acceptable here.
    • If a page is found to have poor language construction or having questionable content, two scenarios can occur. A notice is put up on the top of the page, asking the editor to do either of the following:
      1. Fix the page themselves within a time limit. An editor must specify that they will choose this option.
      2. Surrender the page to the moderators for their own discretion. They may choose either to fix an article, or, in more extreme circumstances, delete the page entirely, leaving future attempts at recreating the page ultimately scrutinized.
        • This is the scenario that will occur if an editor does not respond to the request.
  5. The Community section is currently a "pilot program" at the SRB2 Wiki. Its permanence depends heavily on the good behavior of its users. If too much undesirable behavior occurs, the Community section will be outright removed.

Moderators

The SRB2 Wiki Community Section has its specific moderators that will take charge of the operations in the Community section. If there are any inquiries or concerns, or if you have spotted questionable pages or content, we encourage that you contact the Community section moderators. The Community section moderators are:
