Damage (Fire)

Sector Type 3, Damage (Fire), is a sector type which damages the player unless the player has an Elemental Shield. When applied to a water block, it will make the top solid to mimic the consistence of real lava. The sides and bottom, however, can still be passed through, unless the Effect 3 flag is checked on the FOF's control linedef. When the Block Enemies flag is checked on the FOF's control linedef, all sides of the FOF will become intangible.
This special is notably used as the "lava damage" in Red Volcano Zone as well as many custom RVZ-themed levels. In this context, it is used on a translucent water FOF with a #FF7F00Z colormap, RLAVA1 flats and RVZFALL1 textures.

When the Block Enemies flag is checked on the FOF's control linedef, all sides will turn intangible. |
