Tortured Archives

MAPBL, Spacewalk Zone Act 1, is the first act of the eighth zone in Tortured Planet. It takes place on a series of disconnected space stations separated by clusters of floating junk. Gravity is very low, and the player also has to cope with sudden gravity reversals.

Points of interest

Special Stage Token

In the fourth space junk room (just after the path split meets up again), go to the structure containing the gravity flip and jump around to the back. There is a small, hidden platform behind the structure, on which you will find the token.

Emerald platform

Just after the crusher hallway at the beginning of the level, there is a fake wall which features a hallway behind it, leading to a room with a platform bearing a picture of the seven Chaos Emeralds circling around it. If you have collect all seven Emeralds, then it will warp you directly to Star Showdown Zone when you step on it. If you step on it but haven't collected all the Emeralds, it merely reloads the level. This however, can theoretically be useful in and of itself, as it might enable you to collect some extra lives more than once.

Emblem locations

Sonic

In the open space junk section just after the room with the upside down conveyor belts, one of the vast circular structures has a platform behind it. The emblem is on this platform.

Tails

In the floating pipe room with the invincibility machine, the emblem is floating underneath the broken pipe suspended just behind the tower from which you entered the room.

Knuckles

This emblem is also located in the floating pipe room, but it is much more difficult to find. You will have to go past the room and continue on to the next space junk room. When your gravity reverses, instead of proceeding to the next room, backtrack along one of the path splits that connects to the room (only one of them is accessible; the other one teleports players and therefore cannot be backtracked along). Once you arrive back in the pipe room, explore the interiors of the large pipe clusters. One of them has a pit in the ceiling, at the top of which you will find the emblem.
