MAP04, Techno Hill Zone Act 1, usually referred to as THZ1, is the first act of Techno Hill Zone, the second zone in Sonic Robo Blast 2. Being the second zone, it is somewhat harder than Greenflower Zone. It takes place in a grassland area contaminated by Eggman, and features damaging slime instead of water, mechanical flowers, and a factory. This stage introduces the player to damaging liquids, barrels floating in water, and gas jets. It also features two new enemies - Buzzes and red Crawlas.

From the starting point, move forward and use the spring. Afterwards, jump up to the higher floor and over the slime with platforms in it. Keep on going and watch out for a golden Buzz, then turn right and you should see a bridge over a pool of slime, red Crawlas, a Star Post. You can either continue forward and drop down or go right and make a left turn. After that, you should be running in a long corridor with a Star Post and a red Buzz. Next, you'll find a fork. Here you can go either left or right:
If you took the right path, you should be running through some enemies, with a metallic hole to your right, some pipes over your head, and lastly an enormous pool of slime with a metal island in the middle. Kill the red Buzz you'll find there and jump onto the metal platform to your right from which you can jump to the island. Climb to the top and jump to the ledge in front of you to reach a grassy area. Here you must turn left and jump up the platforms. After making it to a higher ground, turn right, tag the Star Post, and get into the factory.
After turning left in the fork, you'll find yourself in a little corridor ending with a higher ledge. Wait for the platform to come down and take you upwards. Jump over the small river of slime, and look to your right, where you can see a little hole in the wall. Now you have to make a choice: Heading straight forward will lead you to another moving platform and the factory, spindashing into the hole will take you to an alternate route.
Turn right, spin into the little hole, and follow the path until you reach some barrels floating on slime. You must carefully jump on them, and keep on going. You should end up in a sewer filled with slime. Jump from platform to platform, and over the ventilators to gain height and make it to the other side. Keep going, turn left, and you should find yourself in the finish room.
You should first kill the red Buzz you find in this area, or this section can be very annoying. Head to the farthest wall, turn around, and you should see a yellow spring. Use it to get on the pipes. At the end of each pipe, you should see a gas jet; stay where it popped, and you'll fly high enough to progress. On the highest pipe, use the diagonal springs and turn right on the ledge you landed on. Throw yourself into a hole in the ground, and go to the end of the corridor to finish the level.
